Hello Sportsfans, welcome to the weekly buzz at Ballard’s Resort! The month of August blew in on a Northwest wind that lasted most of the week and the guide boats rode the waves to Garden Island and beyond. The best luck is still found drifting spinners in depths between 15-25 feet of water…gold the color of choice with a 2 oz sinker…plenty of shore lunch fish to be had!
Reports on the South shore continue to be spotty…talking to our regulars that are fishing anywhere from the other side of Pine Island to the 9 Footer and over to Zippel Bay…enough meat for table but nothing too strong in the consistency department…here one day, gone the next.
