Hello Sportsfans….
A quick update for those who are anticipating the start of our winter ice fishing season.
As of Monday morning, December 21, the main lake now has an initial cap of ice cover.
Potentially, by tomorrow, Nick would like to be able to start scratching around the edges of the bay. This will give us a better idea of what we’re looking at for ice thickness.
From that point… It’s going to be day by day… As to the amount of ice we possibly gain as we move toward Christmas and New Year’s.
Optimistic? Again, everything is day by day right now. We won’t be able to tell you anymore until we actually get out there and start poking around.
We’re not going to try to make any predictions for a “start date”. We’re going to take it day by day.
