Ring the bell…  It’s walleye time!

Hey Sportsfans.  Guess what?  Yep.  It’s September.  And yes.  We are ready!

Turn off the fans and turn on the walleyes.  Boy has it been windy up here these past few weeks.

I told the guides as part of our August theme, we were going to title the month as:  “Ride The Wave”.

Not only did we have a tremendous month of fishing in August…  But we also battled some topsy-turvy weather.  Mostly wind…  And some rain.

But now it’s September.  Oh yes.  More trophy walleye fishing awaits.  This is one of my personal FAVORITE months of the summer.

It there’s one thing I would say we missed in August, it was our really BIG / TRADITIONAL trophy bite.  And I’m talking 10-12 pound walleyes.

Yes…  We saw some…  And we some some every day…  But really not with the force and prevalence and overall (trophy) numbers that we have seen in the past two August seasons.

My take on it is the weather.  August is generally a tremendous big fish month with stable weather.  And this past August was anything but stable.

And now September?  Yes!  Bring it on.  We are staged and ready.  And the guides are looking for an encore to roll us into the fall.

What will that encore be?  Hopefully GREAT walleye fishing and some GREAT September weather.  Last year was a beauty.  Let’s see if we get a repeat.

Either way…  The great chase continues.
