Hello Sportsfans! Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend! It was a pretty good weekend here on Lake of the Woods to say the least. Fishing was solid with limits of eaters, some upper slots, and a few trophies thrown into the bunch! We’ve had a few windier days the past few weeks with some more rain as well, but it doesn’t seem to have affected the fishing much. It has still been pretty consistent.
The guides have been fishing both out in the mud flats and up north across the lake in the reefs. They have still been pulling spinners (hammered gold, silver, chartreuse) in 28′ – 30′ in the mud and 15′ – 18′ around the reefs. The transition back to vertical jigging should be coming any day now.
