Hello Sportsfans… Just a quick post this week with the latest on Lake of the Woods & the Rainy River.
Word from the neighborhood is that the plowed roads on the South shore are closed to all vehicles due to deteriorating conditions on Four Mile Bay. If you do intend to head out on the lake over West, make sure you check in with one of the local resorts in that area for updated conditions.
The Rainy River is cleared for boat access at the Birchdale landing and has open water as far West as Frontier landing, which hopes to be cleared in the next couple of days. Initial reports have shown clear water and good numbers.
Throughout the Spring Season, our cabins will remain open for nightly rental…call for special Spring rates 218.634.1849
And the bar will continue to be open Mondays – Tuesdays – Wednesdays with restaurant service on Thursdays – Fridays – Saturdays – Sundays.
Remember…the Walleye season stays open through April 14th with the official Sturgeon season April 24th – May 7th
