Welcome to another fishing report here at Ballard’s Resort on Minnesota’s Lake of the Woods! We are in the heart of the fall bite here and fishing has been awesome. The walleye are close and the bite is hot! The guides have been splitting their time between the river and Four Mile Bay for the most part, and still occasionally go out past Lighthouse Gap. Still working the jig bite with a frozen shiner as bait. The best colors? You guessed it, gold or pink.
No word yet on the emerald shiner run but conditions are getting better and better. We’ll be sure to update as soon as we have word.
