Hey Sportsfans!

 

We’re not going to lie… it’s been a tough week of walleye fishing. 

 

The calm conditions make navigating the lake easy, but tough for catching fish.

 

Many of the guides have transitioned to pulling spinners, but with the lack of success, they have been trying just about anything to put fish in the boat. 

 

The best report we have heard was from a group of gals, who visit Lake of the Woods every year for a girls weekend. Coincidence that the most fish caught was by a boat of gals… we think not. 

 

If you are headed this way, make sure to pack: 

 

– Rain gear… With the high humidity, we have had rain showers popping up on the lake almost daily. 

– Sunscreen… That hot sun has been relentless this past week. 

– Long pants… With no wind, the flies tend to stick around the boat. 

– A camera… For when the big fish come back out to play.
