It’s a JIG-A-THON!!!!

We are one week into October, the temperatures are cooling down, but the fishing is beginning to heat up… and the best part, we have been fishing in the mud! That’s right, not too far from home, anchored up and JIGGING!! We have been experiencing the best luck about 6 miles out from the Lighthouse Gap in about 20’ to 27’. Tip your jig, we like gold or chartreuse, with an Emerald Shiner and don’t stop jigging. We’ve been seeing a nice mix in size…catching plenty of take home fish, slot fish and we are seeing a few trophies brought to the boat each day.

With temperatures dipping down in the 30’s at night the shiners have started to run up river, it’s a good sign that we might see the walleyes in the river yet this fall.

If you have a chance to make it up be sure to give us a call and Set the Hook!
