Runnin’ On…

Excited? YES. February for over the past five seasons has been our BEST MONTH OF WINTER FISHING!
We are excited!!
Four weeks into the winter ice chase and here we are still sitting on the south shore. Perhaps…
We say perhaps because those that know us (our guides) know that our team doesn’t sit idle and wait for fish to “show up”. Winter fishing doesn’t happen that way, and so far it’s been “ok” for a south shore bite, but maybe it’s time to mix it up.
The latest? With the ups and the downs of the bite the guides have now (within the past day) sent some “flyers” up north to scout out some new territory. It’s too early to post a result.
More of what we are seeing and hearing? The bite across the board has been mixed. We know there are some folks that would like to see us “race to the reefs” up north. But from what we are seeing and hearing… Our south shore bite is quite possibly better in comparison.
That, among other factors, is why we haven’t jumped the gun to make full force / move the entire fleet and go moves. Time will tell… Other locations are being “tested” as we speak.
Good news? From this past weekend, even with the ups and downs of the bite, it seems like most are HAVING FUN! That’s truly the name of the game… Catching a few for dinner and getting a few to take home… GOOD TIMES!
