High Hopes, Low Temps

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1569779986887{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Hey Sports Fans!

Cold temps and high hopes on the south shore of Lake of The Woods, our guides have started to layer up and give up the shorts and flip flops! We’ve stayed right around the 50’s for the past week.

Fishing has been slower but still very steady with good numbers coming back to the dock, we have been jig fishing on the lake in 10-20 feet of water and filling limits. They have been fishing the river when the weather isn’t cooperating, still having decent luck! Some of the guides have tried pulling spinners to up their luck with some success but found it wasn’t much more productive then jigging!

Make sure to book your final fall fishing trip with us before it gets cold enough for ICE!

Fall Back Into a Rhythm

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1569184000915{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Hey Sports Fans!

Fall weather is in full swing, how do we know that? It’s UNPREDICTABLE! Our guides have been making the best of it as always, adapting to the days weather challenge of rain, wind, or both! So, make sure to pack layers and rain gear! With the weather the guides have been sticking around the area more and more, fishing in Fourmile bay, and a couple miles outside the gap. They have made the switch to majority jigging and found it be very successful and easier to manage in the weather we’ve been having!

Fish scattered anywhere from 12’ to 29’.

(Ps. check out what captain Kale’s boat hooked into last week, 55 inches of pure musky! )

Anchors Away!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1568168348436{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Hey Sports Fans!

Its back folks,

I am talking about JIG FISHING! Our captains have been anchoring their boats in 28-30 feet of water, and jigging for some Lake of the Wood’s GOLD! May I add that they’ve been pretty successful too.. A couple runs of shiners up the river have helped really kick fall fishing into gear! The weather has been a real pain in our rear ends (rain and wind) but hasn’t stopped us from getting out and making the best of it!

Still some good openings this fall during our FALL CLASSIC SPECIAL, so make sure to book your trip and catch some fish to fill the freezer until ice fishing!
