WHERE DID JUNE GO?

Hello Sports Fans!

June blew by… quite literally. The past week we have seen extremely high winds and below average temperatures but despite the weather, fishing has been good!

Most days, the guides head North where they are jigging in 25-31’ and/or drifting shallow with spinners. The classic LOW set up, gold jig and frozen shiner, has seemed to do the trick when jigging.

Little Traverse Bay has produced the most “keeper” size walleyes. Saugers and slot fish have been found in abundance when fishing the mud.

Happy June!

Why are fish so smart? Because they swim in schools. 🙂

Fishing has been best up North, but the South shore still seems to have a few fish hanging out. Typically, the guides are starting out in depths of 18-30’, jigging with shiners, and have found BIG SCHOOLS OF FISH!

The water temperature was about 56° at the start of this week. With temperatures consistently in the 70°s this week, the water temperature is starting to rise.
