FRESH-WILD-WALLEYES… That’s been the theme this past week here at Ballard’s.

Post-holiday our guides have now made a BIG push further into the depths of Big Traverse Bay.  And the results have paid off quite nicely.

These past five days have produced the best fishing action we have had yet this season.  Reports are coming in with shacks catching 50-60-70 fish in a day.  Plus, we are NOW seeing those SLOT-FISH and the TROPHY-FISH that seemed to elude us in December.

Location…  Location…  Location…  That’s really been the key for us this week.  As most of you know, our guys like to “stay on the move”, and more times than not it pays off.

We are now fishing deep.  Thirty to thirty-one feet.  Keep your lines and your jigs light and bright.  January is finesse fishing.
