Holy Cow! Hard to believe we’re already to August! July produced some great fishing, but we’re excited to see what the next month holds!
As far as fishing goes, it’s more of the same as the last couple of weeks. Still a lot of drifting spinners out on the flats. Hammered gold or chartreuse with a crawler, shiner, or leech as bait. The guides are still out in about 25′ – 30′ of water, but are also starting to move back towards the north end of the lake as well. The weather has been consistent with temperatures in the high 70’s and low 80’s. A couple windy days have made the boat ride a bit bumpy, but overall it hasn’t been too bad.
