Happy Fourth of July!
Our guides are spending the day on Lake of The Woods FISHING! Luckily, the weather is manageable today compared the last couple days of extreme heat and humidity! But do not worry- that did not slow down the Ballard’s fleet, the guides were able to beat the heat and fill the coolers!
We have been fishing up north towards the islands on Lake of the Woods, finding that the fish start the day out in 10-13 feet of water while slowly moving out deeper as the sun and temperatures rise.
Tactics have been pulling spinners from 1.3-1.5 MPH coming off shallow bars transitioning deeper until a school is found.
