Hey Sportsfans,
The leaves are really starting to fall as the autumn breeze rolls into northern Minnesota! One sure sign that the offseason is approaching is the arrival of one of our annual groups. Taking up 90% of camp, we always enjoy having the Sedivy Party here for the weekend!
According to the weather forecast, we may have had our last warm spell of the year. It’s officially time to put away those short sleeves and break out the jackets! Most days are settling into the 40s and 50s.
As far as fishing goes, we have two main patterns worth following:
- Shallow rock and gravel flats: Drifting jigs in 7–20 feet has been productive on those less windy days.
- Sand and gravel flats: Anchoring up in 14–24 feet has also been producing some fish.
A few perch have made their way into the mix, along with a few empty beer cans. You never know what you’ll find out there!
Cue the music because we’re officially approaching THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! Just 10 days left until our summer-fall season comes to an end. Where has the time gone?
Enjoy the week, Sportsfans! We’ll see you next week for our FINAL FISHING REPORT OF THE SEASON!
SET THE HOOK!
