Fish have been very sporadic and can be found all around the lake right now. We have had reports of schools of fish being found in 9 feet of water all the way to 33 feet!

Charters have been pulling spinners all around to find them.

Up shallow the walleye are feeding on crawfish mainly, and in the deeper water we are seeing more feeding on worms and left over mayfly hatch.

This week has been awesome weather with low winds and mid to high temps!

Unfortunately, it also has brought on the May fly hatch! The guides have been doing there best to get away from the hatch and searching different parts of the lake to find fish that are not too full to bite a hook!

It is about time to drift away! Majority of our boats switching over to drifting spinners around reefs, and along the mud flats. Starting shallow (8’-10’) and drifting out deeper (30’-33’). Shiners and night crawlers being the bait of choice.

Boats are still having some luck jigging off the bottom, but it is starting to become few and far between catching fish.

Overall, June was a great month we had great guests, fishing, and weather! Looking forward to what July brings us.

Fishing has been hot up here in the north woods!

We have been jigging in the mornings and drifting in the afternoons!

Jigging has been in deep water 28-33’ – Gold jigs with shiners (Classic Lake of the Woods set up!)

Drifting with spinners has been productive anywhere from 6-18’. A lot of boats starting in the deeper water and working there ways up the shelf.

Summer reservations are booming so make sure to make one if you want to make it up here this summer!

Opener is behind us, and fishing has been great!

We are finding most of our fish between 16-24’ jigging off the bottom tipped with shiners.

Trying to stay towards the south shore close to home, the few that have traveled across towards the Northwest Angle have had good fishing but comparable to the south end.
